Purple Belt – 4th to 3rd Kyu: Introduction

Picture
Congratulations on achieving your purple belt and welcome to the section of our website dedicated solely to you and your ongoing development and education. Having achieved your Purple belt means you have successfully grasped the “advanced” techniques, as well
as developing a sound knowledge of the Saifa kata.

No doubt on your karate journey thus far you have experienced times when you felt you were not improving. Having achieved your Purple Belt, it’s undeniable you have experienced this feeling at some point
in time (perhaps multiple times). However, unlike those who quit, you worked through it and overcame it, so for that effort, congratulations!

The purple belt is an amazing achievement. By now you have developed a solid background in most of karate’s techniques, which puts you not only in a good position to continue growing, but also to expand your horizons
and develop additional new skills.

Achieving the rank of purple belt is a big stepping-stone in your ongoing journey. It is now where you move from
being a novice to becoming an advanced student.
